M&C Saatchi & Re win magnificent 7 at AGDA

M&C Saatchi and its branding consultancy RE have won seven gongs at the AGDA Design Biennale Awards in Hobart.

RE took home one of the few Pinnacle Awards handed out at the gala ceremony in Peppermint Bay for its acupunctured business card for Steve Li Acupuncturist in the Graphic Design (Stationery) category.

RE’s Sydney Pavilion work for the Shanghai Biennale picked up two Graphic Design Distinctions, one each for Posters and Brochures while its Optus Rebrand won a Design Crafts Writing For Design Distinction.

M&C Saatchi’s Optus Clever Buoy continued its remarkable awards run with three Distinctions:

Digital Design (Technical Innovation), Design Crafts (animation & Illustration) and Design for Good.

A full contingent of M&C Saatchi and RE staffers were on hand to collect the awards having spent the weekend sampling the delights of the Tassie capital.

Nursing a Berocca this morning, Copywriter Jono Flannery said it was fortuitous that the AGDA Awards coincided with WIne and Beer festivals in Hobart.

“The tour of the Whisky Factory was also a highlight.”
